Best places in London for a cuppa
So, I think it’s safe to say that England is very much home to the classic cup of tea. ‘Cuppa’, ‘builder’s tea’, ‘english breakfast tea’, call it what you may, but the fact of the matter is that you can’t beat a good british brew. Some say a good cup of tea can cure the world of problems, others suggest it might even cure aids. What I can assure you however, is that a good cup of tea will ease your weary bones after a long day of sightseeing in the capital and make you instantly feel a million times better.
But where might I come across this magical english potion you might ask? Well, pretty much everywhere is the answer! You can even pop into the supermarket and get brewing yourself (it’s all about the pg tips or yorkshire tea for you tea connoisseurs out there.) However, I would personally recommend grabbing yourself a good british paper (the observer/times will do) and a pack of hob knob biscuits, and testing out some of my all time favourite relaxation tea spots.

If you have a bike, this is a great place to come to get it fixed whilst having a sneaky cuppa on the side. Yes, it’s a bike shop and cafe in one - genius! You get a good hefty tea for a reasonable price and the muffins aren’t bad either.

Not only is this a brilliant shop, but it’s also a great cafe for people watching. The tea is great and the staff really friendly. Situated right at the top of Brick Lane, you can sit on fat wooden benches and watch the world go by.

It’s a bit pricey but if you fancy being served tea in a big silver teapot on a platter, then this is the place for you. The food looks amazing, and the tea is really good. Just be warned they serve it with cream not milk so don’t add too much (a tragic mistake of mine!).
