Frae is a new organic frozen yogurt business that recently popped up in London with an inviting shop in Angel. Frae offers up fresh fruit and tangy frozen yogurt combinations at reasonable prices which are good for you too!
Londonerseye.com recently caught up with one of the owners Donald to chat about the Frae business and the place for healthy food products in the capital:
How did the Frae shop come about then?
Donald: Well myself and Martyn were working as corporate lawyers for around four years and we decided …

Ok, so I didn’t quite realise just how many avid cupcake fans there are in the world - 2009 is clearly the year of the cupcake revolution! As I am of course loyal to the readers of londonerseye.com, I decided to check out some suggestions for myself.
So….on a grim saturday afternoon (yes London, where has the sunshine gone?) I set off to west London on another cupcake bakery hunt to brighten up the day.
So not strictly british but very firmly London based, Hummingbird bakery very much lived up to expectations. …

Frozen yogurt has taken off in the capital recently, and as a healthy alternative to ice cream, health conscious Londoners looking for a sweet fix have a wide selection at their feet. I’ve become a little obsessed with some of the frozen yoghurt shops on offer, as I’m easily sucked in by brightly coloured designs…..here are my top three in order of preference!

So, I think it’s safe to say that England is very much home to the classic cup of tea. ‘Cuppa’, ‘builder’s tea’, ‘english breakfast tea’, call it what you may, but the fact of the matter is that you can’t beat a good british brew. Some say a good cup of tea can cure the world of problems, others suggest it might even cure aids. What I can assure you however, is that a good cup of tea will ease your weary bones after a long day of sightseeing in …

No joke, this was definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. Quietly tucked away down a side street off Kingsland Road, Waterhouse Restaurant ticks both taste bud and eco credential boxes in one. Overlooking Regents Canal within a unique development of social and private housing, Waterhouse is one of a kind. Designed by Waugh Thistleton architects and using the likes of renewable energy, a wormery and their own filtered water system, Waterhouse definitely makes you all green again. The setting was …

The London Twirls Project is one of those cool semi-obsessive projects, that I stumbled upon through the quirkiest corners of the internet. The project and idea is simple and rather amusing. To map out the availability of Cadbury’s Twirls in London, their storage conditions and fluctuations in price.
The website also shows some funny comments about each chocolate outlet which I have to admit are the best part of the project. If the site makes you smile check out their twitter profile and you will soon discover how many people are …

If you haven’t been indoctrinated into the wholesome goodness of Leon, then now is the time. A restaurant with it’s roots firmly set in London, there are eight branches around the capital, each with a unique style and a great atmosphere. My particular favourite is the one in Liverpool Street, with a partial open plan layout, sink in sofas and odd furniture. Leon is great for a Sunday afternoon; ice lemon tea, chicken aioli wrap and paper in hand.
I caught up with co-founder Henry to ask him a few questions.
Hello …

A while ago we wrote a review of one of London’s top shopping gems, a little shop called Cyber Candy, which seemed to go down pretty well. So we contacted Cyber Candy and recently met up with Margaret, one of the two founders:
So how did Cyber Candy get started, and where did you come up with the idea?
Well, it all started when my husband Alan was trying to buy some sweets that you couldn’t get in shops online anymore, and was really struggling to find somewhere to get them. He …
