Spitalfields - 14 Lamb Street E1 6EA
For something completely out of the ordinary, head over to Spitalfields for some truely glamorous 1950’s rockabilly style pampering. Looking like a cross between back stage at a west end show and a tattoo parlour convention, the well designed warehouse style space looks fantastic and makes what is normally a simple trip to the hairdressers well worth the £40 price tag. With salons in London and New York only, why head to the other side of the continent when you can …

London is home to a lot of strange, rude and amusing street names some of which are too random to seem possible! Some of London’s street names are also pretty blue and graphic as they relate to old streets of ye olde London.
Most of the street names in London are bi-products of their surrounding areas and relate to age old activities in the areas. Such as Spitalfields which, is called this because it was where the old plague hospital fields used to be in Victorian Britain.
A lot of the street …

Over time I have seen some pretty unusual sites and scenes in London. However, some of the best ones I didn’t see first hand have been captured on youtube for everyone to enjoy!
I wish I had seen that guy skiing down the escalator in Angel or the Liverpool Street dance for T-mobile….
luckily enough I have been able to see a few firework displays in London for New Year celebrations, but for some funny reason can’t seem to remember a lot about them…
The snow storm last year was also pretty impressive …

If you spotted a black Google car with a camera atop a pole on the vehicles roof a while ago, chances are you are on Google Streetview by now! London was added to the new system which allows users to stroll around the streets of London from the comfort of their home.
Although the new system from Google has been subject to various privacy and security debates, the system does offer an astounding amount of information which would have been thought impossible a couple of years ago. Streeview indicates how rapidly …

Parking in London can be somewhat of a nightmare and although I am generally against using cars in the capital, sometimes it is plain unavoidable.
I have searched through the dark corners of the internet to find some of the best places to park in London for those occasions when you have to resort to alternative means of transport over the trusty tube.
In all seriousness though, where possible I would reckon using the tube or bus systems as they are usually cheaper, reliable, quicker and less hassle as once you are …

Some London burlesque spots
Burlesque nights are fast becoming a signature of London night outs. There are numerous clubs, pubs and bars throughout the capital offering burlesque and cabaret themed nights in various sizes and forms.
As the theme of burlesque and showgirls is quite wide ranging, the ways in which you can experiment with this lifestyle are also very different, and designed to suit different levels of interest and commitment. This can range from dipping a toe into the risqué practice of seeing ladies taking their clothes off, to a mixed …

Tattoo parlors are often thought of as uninviting places, but after visiting a few in London it is clear that their owners are clearly motivated to change the age old image of parlors being grimy intimidating places.
Many of the new tattoo shops strive to create inviting and engaging vibes as soon as you enter, with efficient waiting areas, large selections of flash books to browse and comfortable seated areas to wait in.
Below is a selection of what are deemed to be the best tattoo shops in London, not just by …

Rough Trade East, Dray Walk, London.
A well hyped and known new (ish) store from the rough trade label. I used to love the little store underneath Slam City Skates in Covent Garden, but am officially a convert to the new, massive warehouse space on brick Lane. It may not have quite the intimate, cosy, unfound and unkempt feel of the old store, but the sheer volume of stock is worth the move. A haven for Musos this store is crammed with a vast selection of all …
