London’s architectural classics
Here is a list of a few of London’s all time architectural classics. From the traditional to experimental, London architecture is impressive on both a visual and historical scale. For the proper tourist’s experience, make a day of it and visit some events along the way. If you’re looking for the perfect architectural day, the Barbican Gallery has an excellent architectural programme - such as the current Le Corbusier: ‘The Art of Architecture’ exhibition. It’s also well worth visiting the world renowned Architectural Association in Bedford Square (www.aaschool.ac.uk) and the Building Centre (www.buildingcentre.co.uk) just round the corner on Store Street for their impressive public programmes of talks, exhibitions and events. From the likes of Rem Koolhaus, Richard Rogers and Nicholas Grimshaw, you can’t go wrong. Just make sure you don’t forget your camera!
