Tokyo Bike in red

Tokyo Bike are a well established bike company in Japan and this Summer are opening a pop-up shop in London. At the moment everything is very hush hush but you can check out their bikes on the website for the company and get a feel for the type of bike they make.

It looks like most of the bikes come with smaller 650cc wheels (as opposed to standard 700cc) which are fitted with slicker tyres to give a smoother ride around London. They make both single speed and geared bikes and from what I can see on the website have a multitude of colours to suit all tastes!

Unlike slicker fixie bikes and single speeds you see whizzing around London’s street Tokyo Bike’s creation have straight handlebars dual brakes which are designed to keep the rider in an upright position.

Prices range from around 400 to 500 pounds so are directly in line with Charge, Fuji and some Specialized models.

Tokyo Bike have been making bikes in Japan for years and have a range of models to suit different needs and tastes I’m not sure how these bikes will fit into the highly competitive landscape of London bike brands but they definitely look like fun!
